We’re sorry for to hear this, please contact us on 01372 747 500/ [email protected]
Can you recommend what products I can use when undergoing treatment for cancer?
Our Look Good Feel Better volunteers are not medically trained so cannot recommend specific products which are definitely suitable for people undergoing treatment for cancer.
Your cancer nurse or oncologist may be able to advise you if there are any specific ingredients which you need to avoid so we always suggest that people speak to their medical team prior to trying any new products during chemotherapy. Your doctor will also have your medical history available and if appropriate can provide a list of ingredients which should be avoided.
Can you recommend a wig shop, extension fitter or hairdresser near me?
Look Good Feel Better are not experts in hair care however our friends at Cancer Hair Care are! Please get in touch with them, they offer one to one support and we’re sure they’ll be able to give you some guidance.
Here are their contact details – https://www.cancerhaircare.co.uk/ [email protected] / 01438 311322
I would like to donate wigs/head coverings/hair accessories to you, is this possible?
Look Good Feel Better are unable to use pre-owned hair accessories and wigs but thank you for thinking of us. There are many wig banks operational around the Country which you can find by a quick Google search.
Can you recommend a microblading service in my area?
Typically you are not able to have microblading or tattooing in the middle of cancer treatment. You will need to check with your GP, CNS, consultant or oncology team to confirm if you are able to have your this microblading/tattooing done following your treatment; they may need to look at your medical history and confirm if there is any reason that you shouldn’t have the treatment done or if you need to wait a bit longer for your body to fully recover.
We’re sorry that we can’t give you any more advice. As we are not medically trained we are unable to confirm if it would be safe for you to have microblading/tattooing. We are unable to recommend microblading or medical tattooing artists.

Are the workshops sad?
Our workshops are designed to be uplifting and empowering, creating a supportive space where participants can connect which each other.

While many of our attendees want to leave cancer ‘at the door’, using the session as a welcome distraction, others might want to share more about their personal story.

During our online training we provide an overview of cancer and types of cancer treatment however we are non-medical and do not offer any advice on treatments, including supplement and product recommendations.
