New workshops launched in Eastbourne, East Sussex

April 7, 2026

We’re pleased to announce the successful launch of a new workshop venue in Eastbourne, expanding access to our Cancer Support Services across East Sussex.

From 24 March, our Skincare & Makeup workshops will be delivered monthly at The Gateway Centre, Gateway Christian Church, in proud partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support.

The new venue marks an important step in reaching more people locally. The addition of this daytime service complements our existing evening workshops in Bexhill and St Leonards, offering greater flexibility and accessibility for those who need our support.

Each workshop is designed to support people undergoing cancer treatment, helping them to manage the visible and emotional impact while reconnecting with their sense of self. Sessions are led by trained volunteers from the beauty industry and provide a relaxed, supportive environment where attendees can share experiences and rebuild confidence.

There are also plans to expand the services available at this venue in the future, with additional workshops such as HeadWrappers and Hand & Nail Care being explored.

Michelle Lister, our Cancer Support Services Manager shares:

“The venue is absolutely wonderful. Collaboration like this is key to ensuring support is accessible to those facing cancer across the region. The team at The Gateway Centre could not do enough for us and we’re delighted to be working in partnership with Macmillan to bring our workshops to Eastbourne.”
